Dec-04-2011
The 2011 MetroPCS Dallas White Rock Marathon showcases the best of Dallas, with a full weekend of events sure to please everyone from the runner to the rest of the family. Enjoy the exhibits at the Health & Fitness Expo, or play in the Kid Zone. Take in the Mayor's 5k Fun Run the day before, or save yourself for the big race on Sunday. Everyone enjoys the post-race party, with indoor & outdoor entertainment.
You spoke, we listened. The 42nd running of the MetroPCS Dallas White Rock Marathon will see improvements to an already great race! To make this the best runner experience possible, participants are surveyed at the completion of the race each year. To those of you who took the time to respond, thank you. This year you will see an improved corral start, a more convenient bag drop area, easier parking, more portable toilets, increased signage, and more accessible information centers.
The Dallas White Rock Marathon is known for having a fun, exciting and scenic course. The race travels through diverse areas of Dallas such as the Arts District, Uptown, Turtle Creek, the M Streets, White Rock Lake, Lakewood and the Swiss Avenue District. The course is USAT&F certified and serves as a qualifier for the Boston and New York Marathons.
